Immigration photographs are required for the primary applicant and
dependents. They are required for various purposes like Adjustment
of Status(I-485, 2 photos), Employment Authorization Document (EAD,
I-765, 2 photos), Advanced Parole(AP, I-131, 2 photos), Consular
Processing(3 photos). They are green card photographs and NOT
passport style photographs. They are also called ADIT style
photographs. Lightly print your name and A#(if known) on the back
of each photo with a pencil.
Photos must be taken within 30 days of submitting to INS.
Ladies should not be wearing ear-rings in this kind of
photographs. If you normally wear glasses, you should wear them at
the time of the photograph. If you normally wear contact lenses,
you should not be wearing glasses at the time of taking the photos.
You must not be wearing any hat or turban unless it is mandatory in
religion like Sardarji etc.
